Momentum Careers Advice are delighted to introduce a new range of ‘low-cost, high impact’ workshops aimed at 16-18 year olds. All workshops are conducted via Zoom and we are pleased to announce that £1 from every booking made will be donated to The Venkat Trust, an educational charity based in Tamil Nadu, India.

Target audience: current Year 12 students/ambitious Year 11s

Aims: this 40 minute workshop will enable students to understand the full range of university courses that may be open to them, including academic and vocational options, as well as specialist and multidisciplinary degrees. It will also address some of the commonly-held myths surrounding degree choice and possible career outcomes.

Boosting your personal statement content

Target audience: current Year 12 students

Aims: this 40 minute talk focuses on the ‘small wins’ – the things students can be doing between now and the end of summer that will help ensure your personal statement is packed full of content which is both relevant to the subject you are applying to, and which will make you appear proactive and motivated. There will be an opportunity for questions at the end.

Target audience: current Year 12 students/anyone applying to UCAS for Sept 2025 entry

Aims: this 40 minute workshop will help ensure students are making the right impact on admissions tutors. Talking you through a suggested structure, it will point out a range content ideas, enabling applicants to come across as both authentic and engaging.

Alternatives to university

Target audience: current Year 12 students/ambitious Year 11s

Aims: this 40 minute talk looks at some of the options available to students who may not want (or feel ready) to apply to university at the end of Year 13. Covering apprenticeships, school leaver programmes, entry level jobs and gap years, it will reveal the best resources to uncover these opportunities as well as talking through pros and cons. There will be an opportunity for questions at the end.
